Rumbaché is one of the hottest Bay Area Salsa Bands! On vocals, Rumbaché features 2014 Grammy Winner Omar Ledezma Jr. as well as Christelle Durandy. Fusing salsa, timba, bomba, funk and whatever else they can find to spice up the mood, they provide a hard-hitting style of playing. And while you can hear them interpreting the classic and contemporary Cuban and Salsa repertoire, they are not shy with their own expression, as evidenced by their hit debut CD “Llego La Fiesta”. Rumbaché is the voice of youth for San Francisco's Salsa & Timba scene, and ignites enthusiasm in dancers and musical connoisseurs alike. Rumbaché plays Cuban styles of music, with heavy influences in funk and jazz. Their rhythm section is one to be rivaled with in the San Francisco Bay Area and will make sure to get you up off your feet! Female/Male vocals and a kickin’ horn section round out the group to create an exciting show!

RXRXBBIT is a self-produced alternative dance-pop artist based in Los Angeles, California and Marin County, California. She is known for her unique sound that blends upbeat, infectious electronic rhythms with emotionally deep and "unapologetically human" storytelling. Genre: Electronic-pop and dance-pop. Production: She handles her own production, often blending diverse influences to create a "cathartic experience" for listeners.

Scribe is an Alternative Progressive Rock Power Trio hailing from the hills of Northern California. We are writing and delivering songs within this imaginative trio structure. We have found that our trio provides opportunities for a wide swath of intriguing musical textures, resulting in multi dimensional interplay in the delivering of each song. Our trio consists of a powerful, yet compositionally focused drummer, a lyrical and inventive bass- playing lead vocalist with a warm and flowing vocal style, and a melodic, song-oriented, nuanced electric guitarist who adds vocal harmonies. Performing great material within this configuration with care and focus is very challenging, and also our mission and purpose.

We are recording and preparing to perform 12 fantastic original songs while working out all the details for exciting live shows at band practice. This 3rd release, “THAW”, features brand new material, as well as the best of legacy Scribe tunes reimagined for 2026.
Concurrently, our animation partners are creating claymation music videos set to three old-school legacy Scribe recordings, and CGI renditions of some of the tracks on “THAW”. From deep pocket New Orleans funk to desert-infused surf reverberation, Sean Carscadden knows how to make his six-string guitar reach through space. The wingmen in his trio – Drummer Mikey Lee cannon and Cliff Hugo the trail-blazing bassist for Supertramp and Ray Charles – bring a thoughtful flow to the rhythm they put under each of Carscadden’s bending notes and blue eyed soul singing. Carscadden is a three-time winner of the North Bay Bohemian Norbays Award for Best Americana Artist and three-time winner of the Sonoma Index Tribune's People's Choice Award for Best Local Performer.

Silver Bell Jazz Band delivers high-energy, historically rooted early jazz, drawing from ragtime, New Orleans hot jazz, blues, and swing traditions of the early 1900s. Led by multi-instrumentalist and bandleader Ryan Calloway, the group is known for tight ensemble playing, expressive soloing, and a deep connection to social dance culture.

Sky-Eyes delivers high-energy roots reggae infused with hip-hop and jazz, driven by unmistakable Caribbean soul. Hailing from the island of Martinique, Sky-Eyes blends island rhythms with modern reggae, rap, and jazz influences to create a sound that is both globally rooted and contemporary.

Fronted by a dynamic lead vocalist who sings in English, French, and French-Creole, the band brings an authentic, cross-cultural experience to the stage. Backed by some of the area’s top reggae musicians, Sky-Eyes is known for infectious tropical grooves that consistently get audiences dancing.

Sparkle Plenty is a 3 piece rock band formed in 2018. Since 2020 we have rehearsed weekly at our practice space in Point Richmond. We have all been in other Bay Area bands but like this one because we never have band issues and all 3 of us have loads of fun doing what we do. We have played around 100 shows , released 2 records on our own (with a third to be recorded at the end of this year we hope) and have indie toured the western part of the US in our van. Our next big goal is to play festivals and if we are given the opportunity to play at the Point Richmond Music Festival we will be very happy and honored! We have truly noticed that people across a wide age range who see us even for the first time really seem to enjoy our music and move to it. That is everything to us. Stabe Wilson is a genre-defying saxophonist whose roots run deep in gospel and whose artistry soars through the realms of jazz, funk, soul, and beyond. The proud son of Oakland's revered Rev. Dr. Claude E. Wilson and godson of gospel icon Edwin Hawkins, Stabe was steeped in music from birth. A child prodigy, he toured internationally with Hawkins, absorbing the spiritual fire and emotional depth of gospel that continues to shape his voice today.

While gospel was his launchpad, rhythm and jazz, and contemporary instrumental became his true north. Under the mentorship of the late, great David Sanborn—an artist celebrated for pushing genre boundaries—Stabe discovered the freedom to fuse his gospel heritage with the full spectrum of Black American music. Like his mentor, he resists categorization, blending elements of Jazz, Funk, R&B, Gospel, Soul, and Rock into a sonic tapestry that’s both timeless and cutting-edge.

The Stabe Wilson Band embodies this eclectic vision. Their performances are dynamic, soulful, and deeply immersive—featuring original compositions, reinvented jazz standards, gospel-tinged ballads, funk-forward grooves, and electrifying improvisations. Whether channeling the spiritual depth of Coltrane, the sensual sway of Marvin Gaye, or the brass-driven fire of Tower of Power, the band delivers every note with authenticity, spontaneity, and spirit.

At its core, the Stabe Wilson Band is about storytelling through sound—creating musical experiences that aren’t just heard but deeply felt. Each member of the ensemble is a virtuoso in their own right, fluent in a spectrum of musical dialects. Together, they craft performances that are polished yet raw, sacred yet celebratory—a place where the sanctuary meets the stage and soul meets swing.
From festival stages to intimate venues, from worship gatherings to worldwide showcases, Stabe Wilson and his band deliver more than a show—they offer a transcendent, groove-infused journey that moves hearts, minds, and feet.

Stratify, a nine-piece contemporary jazz ensemble, was established in 2012 by bassist and bandleader Doc Robinson. Initially, the band operated as a six-piece unit, exclusively dedicated to funky instrumental contemporary jazz. As per Doc Robinson’s description, “My objective was to assemble a band akin to Spyro Gyra, one of my most cherished contemporary jazz ensembles. It was only upon recognizing my desire for a more expansive sound that we transitioned to a nine-piece configuration.”

The musicians of Stratify are among the most accomplished in the Bay Area. Drummer Michael “MJ” Jackson, Guitarist Jeff Miller, Keyboardist Robert Bance, Percussionist Tam Sugayan, and bassist Doc Robinson collectively comprise a highly rhythmic section. The addition of vocalist Karen “KB” Bance and the horn section, featuring Trumpet Player Bill Smolik, Trombonist Christian Manzana, and Sax Player Terry Aguiar, results in an exceptional performance and sound.

Sunkissed is a five-piece surf-psych and indie rock band from San Francisco, blending guitar-driven nostalgia with synth-forward energy. Since their debut single "On the Sun Kissed Hills of San Francisco," they've headlined Brick & Mortar Music Hall and Bottom of the Hill, been featured in New Noise Magazine, and appeared live on KSFS Radio. Their sets run heavier and looser than the recordings, the kind of thing that gets a room moving. For fans of Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Backseat Lovers, and Peach Pit.

Sweet Sally is an exciting young band emerging from the vibrant California bluegrass scene, celebrated for its exceptional instrumental prowess, tight vocal harmonies, and inventive arrangements that draw from bluegrass, Americana, folk, and jazz. Band members Lucy Khadder and Sophia Sparks, who started the band as a duo in 2020, now joined by Clare O’Grady, came together at Oakland School for the Arts.

Lucy, on fiddle, guitar, and vocals, is a YoungArts Award winner who has twice been featured as a Next Generation Jazz artist at the Monterey Jazz Festival. In 2025, she received the Jimmy Lyons Scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music. Sophia, on mandolin, guitar, and vocals, is a YoungArts Award winner and the 2024 RockyGrass mandolin contest winner. She has been passionate about mandolin since she joined Sierra Hull on stage at age 9, and is finishing her senior high school year in the jazz program at Oakland School for the Arts. Clare O'Grady, on bass and vocals, brings an extensive background in percussion and jazz to the band. She studies jazz and psychology at UC Santa Cruz.

They have performed together at festivals including DelFest, High Sierra Music Festival, the Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival, and IBMA’s World of Bluegrass.

Bay Area American Roots & Alt Country troubadours, Tell River bring a dynamic
mix of original music and songwriting. Formed in 2006 by frontman singer
songwriter, Adam Tell June, Tell River pushes evocative lyrical imagery
throughout their songs painted over a heartfelt canvas in themes of love, loss, life
& lust all amongst an epic backdrop of harmonies and guitar driven rock n roll.

Influenced by some of the best story tellers in music history, including: Elliot
Smith, Wilco, Lucero, Drive By Truckers, Johnny Cash, Neutral Milk Hotel,
Tom Waits and Neil Young, Tell River delivers sophistication and dynamics
that paint a vivid, evoking sound that is almost impossible to categorize.
Their lyrics flirt with the guts of poetry that tackle classic emotional themes
with a fresh perspective.

From soulful rock ballads to rocking Americana grit; Tell River engages a
wide variety of audiences across age, genre and social status.

NEW ORIGINAL MID-CENTURY SOUL MUSIC
Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, California The Anthony Paule Soul Orchestra, was founded in 2007, by guitarist/songwriter Anthony Paule. Inspired by authentic Soul and Blues recordings of the ‘60s and ‘70s, this dramatic horn driven extravagant act took shape. Known for having great, authentic singers, APSO invites newest member, the incomparable vocalist Willy Jordan into the organization. Having worked with Elvin Bishop’s Big Fun Trio (which garnered him two Grammy Award nominations), John Lee Hooker among others, Willy holds court from a throne previously occupied by Wee Willie Walker, Frank Bey, and Terrie Odabi. Jordan’s commanding vocals and unpretentious stage presence, give audiences an honest, fresh, heartfelt experience.

NOTE: We play about 90% original music, and can easily perform a show of 100% original songs. Our most recent album is comprised of entirely original music.

• Not exactly APSO news, but an album Anthony Paule recorded with Van Morrison in 2022 is set for release January 23rd! Anthony will be touring with Van Morrison February and March.

Endorsed Breedlove guitar artists, music brands, Jay Kirkland and Barbara Gorin extend their acoustic duo with a dynamic four piece original band, Ron Neuhauser on Drums and Danny Cronan on bass. Their original style is like no other which incorporates shredding ukulele by virtuoso, Jay Kirkland. Its original song is unique in itself with a blend of rock, blues, Latin, and R&B. Their style captivates, all ages and all years. Please give us a chance we’ve tried for many years to be selected to perform! Jay and Barbara has been selected three separate years to perform NAMM, and they were repeatedly selected because of their unique creative original style.

1989 in Berkeley California, with one guitar and one bongo, The Butchered Hens were born.

1999 on 7th Street in Oakland The Hens progressed to 55 gallon drums and recycled cymbals and began to create songs.

San Francisco 2022 and we're a four piece band rockin' out on Turk Street in the Tenderloin.

The Drifting Cowboys is the brainchild of singer/ guitarist David Landon who credit’s Hank Williams as one of the all time great song writers. “ How can you not love his tunes? They are all so memorable, catchy and relatable. I love singing and playing these tunes and never get tired of them, and getting to play with such a fine group of musicians as the Drifting Cowboys is a real treat!”
Pedal steel player extraordinaire David Phillips has collaborated with such diverse bandleaders as Frank Black, Tom Waits, Charlie Hunter, and John Wesley Harding. Fiddle player Candy Girard has received the honor of fiddle player of the year for both Los Angeles and California from the California Country Music Association, and has been inducted into Western Swing Hall of Fame as well as the South Australia Country Music Hall of Fame. Bassist Joe Kyle Jr. has become an in-demand performer and session player known throughout the land for his superb feel, musical agility, adaptability and propensity for slap bass and tragicomic asides

The Electricfiers is a loud, hard-rockin' family band from Marin, with Josie (age 12) on drums, Jonathan (age 15) on guitar, and their dad Nathan (old) on bass. Their original music pays homage to blues rock legends such as Led Zeppelin, SRV, ZZ Top and Mountain, with epic guitar solos and lightning-fast runs, thunderous and driving drums, and basslines that are funky and groovy!

The Familiar Strangers play an Americana grab bag of roots music from western swing to classic country, blues rock, swing jazz and even a little bit of gypsy jazz! Imagine Bob Wills and John Hiatt get in a car with Chuck Berry and they pick up a hitch hiking Dolly Parton! It's kinda like that!
This band generates a big response from audiences with their friendly banter and responsiveness to requests from audience members. This is a band with a sense of humor that can easily move between material designed to get you up on your feet dancing or tugging at your heart to buy another drink and lose your sorrows.

The band is comprised of top shelf veterans of the bay area music scene. Drawing from such well known bands/performers as Commander Cody, Maria Muldaur, Laughing Gravy, San Geronimo, The Rhythm Rangers, Clint Black, Shirley Bassey & more.

The Freeze32°F is an indie-pop 90's and beyond rock band. We write and record our own original music. Founded by mom Deb Fries-Funelas (on keys, guitar, vocals - lead and back-up/harmonies, and occasional harmonica) and son Alex Fries (on drums and vocals), they are joined by seasoned bass player Mark Monillas, L.A. raised lead guitarist Omar Cruz, and the very experienced percussionist Milton McGriff. Miss Alleta Nash of Benicia recently joined the band as lead vocalist (shades of Janis Joplin mixed with SIA), adding spicy harmonies and even a few violin licks here and there.

The Freeze32°F is a six piece indie rock/pop band. One of the Best in the Bay Area, The Freezers pride themselves on playing a professional and entertaining set of their original music. Deb (Fries) Funelas is the band’s leader, keyboard player, and founder. Her son Alex Fries is the band’s drummer. Growing up in Ohio, Deb was surrounded by a musical family that instilled in her a genuine love of music. Alex’s musical desires were clearly set in motion as he raised the rafters in the living room pounding his drums with his musical Mom playing the piano. On lead guitar you’ll hear LA born and raised Omar Cruz with his blazing hot leads. Omar also contributes to the band’s original material. Alleta Nash from Benicia has been performing since she was 5 years old, and brings soaring vocals to the band’s repertoire. She is also a budding songwriter. Milton Magriffe’s percussion adds a unique touch to both covers and originals…something you’ll rarely find in local bands. Our newest addition to the line up, bass player Mark Monillas, brings a fresh perspective to our rhythm section with some hot bass action.

The Ghost Town Rebellion, formed in 2013, have created a style all to their own, our fans call us GRIT ROCK, which combines the Musical Styles of Grunge, Blues, & Americana. The Grateful Heart Band is a musical philanthropic project dedicated to bringing people together, awakening hearts and inspiring a more loving and compassionate world through the gift of music. Accomplished through the presentation of highly crafted original songs and dynamic live performance the band's debut album, Heart Shaped World, is a powerful step forward in rock, jazz, soul and world beat curated by project visionary and principal songwriter Michael John Ahern and assisted by Joel Jaffe, SF producer and audio engineer. Michael is an Emmy nominated California songwriter, music producer, recording artist, and former NASA Mission Specialist with four decades of songwriting, studio and live performance experience. Each member of the Grateful Heart Band is a skilled music professional, each with a stellar reputation for on stage performance skill and studio session work.

GHB members include Christian Pepin, two-time Grammy Award winning singer and percussionist, former Gregg Allman bassist and Alameda All-Star Tommy Miller, veteran NYC/SF session drummer and touring musician Michael Israel, Bob McBain, keyboardist in Pete Floyd the Pink Floyd Experience and legendary Sonoma Valley guitarist Dennis “Dino” Cordellos.
