I don’t think it’s fair to give a band a 1 star just for old videos. I agree its an issue, but I would only subtract a star for that. One star is reserved for only the worst bands.
In the past we established a system that went like this:
1 – get out of the business
2- amateur quality
3- competent but ordinary
4 – pretty darn good – would not mind having them
5 – One of my very top choices – we’d be crazy not to ask them
I think this sounds really fun and it’s a different vibe than usual. I might have given them 4 but since Kim gave them a 1, I added a compensatory star.
