Short Bio About the Band:

ANCESTRAL WATER was a Jack Grady O’Neil song written in 1999 for the San Francisco Grady Family Reunion. The Grady’s were Irish Immigrants and an early California Family that was celebrating a 150 years in the Golden State. ANCESTRAL WATER then became a Jack Grady O’Neil album, released in 2009, that tells the entire story of Jack's Gold Rush Family History in 9 songs. After the release of the ANCESTRAL WATER album, a band was formed to present the musical story in 2009. ANCESTRAL WATER BAND was started by Bryan Daley, Gerald Turetzky and Jack Grady O’Neil. Over the last 17 years, Jack, together with Gerald, have led a group of musicians to become a top Americana bands in Central Contra Costa. ANCESTRAL WATER BAND has evolved to feature Singer-Songwriter-Acoustic Guitarist Jack Grady O’Neil, vocalist and drummer Gerald Turetzky, Barbara Miercke on violin & vocals, Wayne Ditzel on electric guitar & vocals, George Astin, bass & vocals and Jonathan Korn on mandolin.
