Point Richmond Music (PRM) will be reviewing applications to perform for its 22nd Summer Concert Series in 2024 towards the beginning of 2024. PRM presents four concerts each season with two 50 minute performances per show. Concerts are held on the 2nd Friday of each month, June through September.
PLEASE NOTE that we ONLY accept bands that play original music. If you are primarily a cover band, we will not consider you for our concert series. In this way, we support original music, which is a mission of Point Richmond Music.
Artists are selected based on the following criteria:
- Bands should display a professional level of musical skill
- Point Richmond Series audiences favor up-tempo and mid-tempo music, and music they can dance to
- Rock, pop, RnB/Soul, zydeco, jazz, Latin, Americana, and reggae artists are encouraged to apply submitting original music
- Music should be appealing and appropriate to a wide range of ages and a diverse group of people, including children
- Generally, we favor groups of 3 to 6 players, though we have hired duos and a few larger groups
- Music should be live, and played by musicians (rather than electronic accompaniment)
- Artists from the Bay Area are preferred although we occasionally select bands from other areas of Northern California
Applications to perform must be submitted by February 28, 2024. Selected artists will be notified by early April.
